Powers Lake K-12 community:
Power has been restored at our school, in town, and to some of our rural families. Also, county roads have had a single pass through them to access main highways. There will be school tomorrow if our power remains consistently on throughout the evening.
If your student(s) will not be able to attend school tomorrow, it will be an excused absence and please let us know right away in the morning. We understand your concerns of safety with impassable roads as please make the best decision for you and your family.
Also, bus drivers will contact you about access to your driveways and homes for the morning bus route.
Stay safe and we hope to see everyone tomorrow.

Powers Lake K-12 Community:

Powers Lake K-12 Community:
With the impending blizzard, we would like to share some information with all of you before you start your day:
Elementary GBB after school today vs. Kenmare has been postponed.
We will be sending homework packets with K-5 students for the next two days in the likely event that we will be out of school through next week. 6-12 students will have expectations on what to complete as well with their devices being sent home.
We use a couple of weather apps in the early morning to help us make decisions to keep our staff, students, and community safe. KFYR-TV Weather has the best radar map that has a "future" option to forecast out moisture and weather. Also, use the ND Road Report App for highway conditions and you have the options on the left menu to turn on all the highway cameras, wind speeds, and radar.
Please keep your phone around you today as all bus drivers have been alerted to the possibility that we may be let out early. Stay safe and warm and enjoy the extra time with family and friends.
Mr. Gruenberg
