
A couple years after graduating from Powers Lake High School, Ms. Caren Hoiby led her first concert here at Powers Lake. Thanks Ms. Hoiby and great job to all the kids who performed!

Grades 6-12
Boys - All Black. If ties don't come in, you will still need to wear all black.
Girls - Maroon top & black shirt/pants.
All 6-12 - black shoes.
K-5 - dress clothes

As a reminder, school is out early today for professional development for staff. There will be PM bus routes after school. Bus students are dismissed @ 2:15 pm and town students will be dismissed @ 2:20 pm.

School will start at 10:30 am with no AM buses. Please take extra caution in getting your little ones to school this morning. There is still on early out for all staff scheduled to start @ 2:30 pm.

Powers Lake students will not be attending Tech Day @ MSU due too dangerous travel conditions.

Due too dangerous travel conditions and no travel advised, Powers Lake Public School will start late at 10:30 AM. There is also no breakfast this morning.

The transition group thanksgiving scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. Also the reality store for grades 9&10 has been moved to December 12. Stay safe on the roads.

Tomorrow’s parent meeting is for all parents of JH GBB players in grades 6-8. The meeting will take place directly after practice at the fitness center.

The Jr. High Girls BB team will have their first practice tomorrow, Mon., Nov. 19 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Fitness Center.
7th/8th grade GBB Parent Meeting Monday, November 19th when you come to pick your girls up from practice. Just come in and we will have a quick meeting.
Junior High Girls BB practice will be for any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade girl who is interested in playing.

Chili Cook-Off starts at 6pm.

Little Ranchers Community Preschool is having their 5th annual Chili Cook-Off and pie/baked goods auction November 17 at the High School. A family fun night held to raise money for the preschool. Free will donation at the door- fill up on Chili from 10 different cooks, along with sandwiches and other treats. There are also FREE games and face painting for kids. Prizes for best football outfit, best decorated table and best chili as voted on by YOU! The preschoolers will auction their baked goods off at the end of the night to the highest bidder.

The Ray-Powers Lake football program will hold its annual Senior Appreciation and Awards Banquet on Tuesday, November 20 at 6:30 pm. This year's banquet will be held in the Powers Lake school. All football players in grades 9-12 and their families are invited. The banquet this year is potluck and we ask that seniors bring a hot dish, juniors and sophomores bring a salad and freshman brings bars or a dessert. Chicken, drinks and buns will be furnished. We look forward to seeing all of you there.

Students in grades k-12 need to wear a coat to school. A hooded sweatshirt does not suffice. Please make arrangements for your children to wear the proper attire.

There will be Lifetouch picture retakes on Friday, November 9th from 4 pm to 7 pm in their Minot office. Please contact Lifetouch @ 701-838-7638 for directions.

There will be girls basketball open gym at 4:30 pm Wednesday afternoon with a parent/player meeting for all girls and parents 8-12 grade that are interested in playing @ 5:30 pm at the school.

There will be a pep rally at 2:15 today for the Volleyball girls as they head to districts. The girls will play Stanley tonight at approximately 7pm.
