STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
April 2-4, 2023
The Powers Lake FBLA Chapter is heading to State Leadership Conference. We will be leaving Powers Lake at noon on April 2nd, and we will be staying at the Ramkota in Bismarck.
The students have worked concessions during the home ballgames in order to pay for their hotel rooms, so the only expense the students should have is their $65 registration fee which is under Power School and any money they need for meals.
Sunday night they need to purchase their supper, Monday they need to purchase a lunch, and Tuesday they need to purchase a lunch. All other meals will be taken care of by the chapter.
They need to be in business attire all three days, but if they have black pants, they can wear them every day and just change shirts.
If your student places in the top 4 of their event they qualify to go to National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. The dates of the trip would be June 25-July 1st.
The trip would cost approximately $2000 which we will try to fundraise as much as possible to cover the cost of the trip. However, an initial non-refundable deposit of $250 will be due by April 19th.
Any questions, please contact Mrs. Helseth at 701.464.5432.

There will be a free Basketball Referee training session at Powers Lake HS gym Monday, March 27 at 7:00. Shannon Holter will be doing the training. Anyone who is interested is welcome. If you have any questions, please contact Mona Christenson.

The Elementary games today with Trenton are still on, however the warm up times between games and half times will be shortened to speed up the night. The first game will still start at 3:00, but the next 3 games will start earlier than scheduled. Please plan accordingly.

The Powers Lake-Burke Central Hospitality Room will be in the Linden, Oak, and Maple rooms located at the Bismarck Event Center. There will be face painting in these rooms today at 12:15.
These rooms will also be open after the game to eat and visit with friends and family. Today we are serving barbecued pulled chicken and mac-n-cheese.

We have 14 State Class B tickets left to sell in the Rancher Section. Sales will close today at noon and the remaining tickets will be returned to the civic center. If you would like to purchase please contact the school or stop in before 12 pm.

If you ordered a state t-shirt they will be handed out after the pep rally on Wednesday at approximately 3pm.
