The following is a list of available options for students to complete their drivers ed classes. There are no local offerings this summer.
The Rancher Booster Club is looking for volunteers (any parent) to bring bars, water, or pop to help with the Powers Lake Rancher Athletic Booster Fundraiser at the 4th of July Firework show Wednesday evening! We would like 6 jelly roll size pan of bars, 4 cases of bottled water, and 6 cases of pop. We are requesting that the drinks be in coolers with ice and ready to go. School board election tomorrow from 11am to 7pm. Come by the Powers Lake School and cast your vote!
Baacalaureate is at 3 pm today and graduation is at 4.
Band and choir students, please be at the school at 3:30 tomorrow to get ready to perform at graduation.
If your student has lost towels, shoes or gym clothes please stop by the school to look at unclaimed items.
Attention all parents, please contact the office to pay up any fines or fees that your students have for the 2017-2018 school year. Fines and/or fees can include lunch, library, participation, FBLA, Vo-Ag shop, extra-curricular, music, school supplies, etc. Have a wonderful summer!
Music students will take pictures tomorrow for the year book. Please bring music clothes.
Academic awards night will begin at 6:30 tomorrow evening with a free will supper served by the FBLA. The awards will start at 7 pm. This will include students in grades 6-12. Awards will be given for academics, FBLA and music.
Don't forget about the last early out today! Bus students are dismissed @ 1:50 pm and school is out @ 2:00 pm.
Attention 4th grade parents: Instrument tryouts have been postponed to a later date. Tomorrow will be early out as usual.
6th grade field trip tomorrow. Be here by 730am . Bus leaves at 745. You need a sack lunch and we will be home around 5:45pm.
Also, come out to the school tonight for the Powers Lake Art Show and Book Fair. Art show starts at 6:30 pm and Book Fair runs before and after tonight’s music concert.
For the elementary music concert on Thursday, May 10th @ 7:00 pm, please have your students wear the following attire:
K-4: Western clothes
5th: Dress clothes
The Big One Math Meet at Williston State College is running late as expect students to get back around 5:45 pm.
Reminder: Athletic banquet will be held Tonight May 7th to celebrate 7-12 football, basketball, volleyball and track. 6th graders who played jr high will be recognized as well. There will be a potluck dinner starting at 6:30 with awards starting at 7:00. We ask the following grades would bring the following dishes. 12th and 9th grade bring a main dish. 11th and 8th grade bring a salad. 10th and 7th bring a desert. If you have more than one kid, bring for the kid that is older. 6th grade parents if you are attending please choose one of the 3.
"The Big One" elementary math meet location has moved. It will take place on Monday, May 7th @ 12:30 pm @ Williston State College @ The Skadeland Gym. Students will leave Powers Lake @ 10:15 am and will return @ approximately 4:30 pm.
